Hi guys! It has been a while since my previous post but I am STILL here. Just that I find facebook its kinda easy to update and operate, despite the lack of privacy there (Ahem ahem).

Alright, updates. Nothing much to be proud off. Just busying around with my FYP and Design Projects. Next to come are all the presentations. Aiyoyo...

Owh ya... Baby Victor is finally here, and officially, my shares market back at home has dropped by 70% as all the family members are currently investing on him instead. Sad and happy, 'rojak' feelings.

I have this thing about me previously, I am funeral-phobic. Hence, the only one I’ve ever attended to was my great-grandmother’s, even that I was merely 7. But I had to attend one which was my grand-aunt’s last week. I packed my bags and completed all my assignments before the week was over, and headed back to BM. As I arrived, my sadness overcame my fear. There were heaps of people in the funeral as their family are kinda being the ‘aristocrats’ of Penang, many people knows them. However during the funeral, I heard conversations that I don’t even know whether it is right or wrong. Why don’t you guys decide for me.

I do not know why but only in this final semester of my undergraduate studies, that I felt so close to my family. I am the one who are not keen to go back hometown once I am in UTP, just that the hassle of catching a bus and the long hours of traveling, I really prefer to be in campus and spend my weekends playing squash. But things have changed now…

The whole Malaysia was in shocked 2 weeks ago when Yasmin Ahmad passed away suddenly. I managed to watch a tribute documentary by TV3 about her. According to her parents, she is a very obedient daughter who will call daily and ask her mum, :: “Mak OK? Mak happy tak? Mak kena happy ye…”. Well, its also clear when each and every movie she made are dedicated to her parents. Also, Adibah Noor added that its because of her tremendous respect for both of her parents that she has been given the gift of creativity and brilliant ideas for her production, in Malay, she calls it ‘restu ayah bonda’.

Perhaps it is true. Friends may come and go; some may even scold you words that your parents would not even dare to say to you. Spouse may quarrel with you and have their own opinions on some issues. Colleagues will gang up and leave you when you are no longer useful to them. Lecturers at times just give up hope on you when you screwed up a test. But parents, they are always there, whether you realize or not – they are there for you. In the times you need them most, they will forget all you have said to them, forgivingly love you, and will tell you the words you wish to hear. Isn’t it lovely?

Week 2: Waiting to go back.

As I was recuperating back at UTP, I somehow felt that the campus will be closed for the following week. How did I know? By the number of friends I knew who are having cough (including me), flu (even Arnold got quarantined), fever (Uthes pny case la nih!) and sore throat, I knew that the campus will be closed.

As week 1 and the rest of the previous semester break, week 2 was filled with my FYP meetings with Mr. Khor. The rest? Sat in the IRC for the air-cond and skipping dinner. Sigh…

Now that it is confirmed that UTP is closed for a week (and now that I am not sick anymore), at least I can go eat now. Just a question, the late Yasmin Ahmad has always been put responsible to produce Petronas’ Seasonal Ads, so who is going to direct this coming Merdeka’s? Hopefully its as good as hers. Cheers peeps!

Week 1: Disastrous!

I knew something was very wrong with me last week. For start, I was quite reluctant to come back to UTP. I thought that was pretty normal. But then, things just got worse from there. My first day of class was BORING to da max!

Tuesday really tested my patience and I was left wondering for a moment, is life a masquerade competition or some sort of that kind?

I attended a talk by this Career Advisory Unit on Wednesday. Seriously speaking, I am not that ready to work le…

When I woke up on Thursday, I started coughing – dry cough. After meeting with my lecturer, about 9pm, I headed to the UTP clinic. My gosh! There was like a bunch of suspected H1N1 students there, WITHOUT MASKS ON!!! I had a quick scan with the doctor and she said its just normal cough. So I came back and took the medicine.

Friday morning, it was raining quite heavy and I was too weak to get up from the bed. I did not have any aunce of energy to even walk to the toilet, and I had to go to my 9am’s class by motorcycle under the rain. Sigh… I decided to head home to BM at the same day, following Uthes. As soon as I reached home, I could barely walk. My dad insisted me to get a medical checkup but me and ‘hospital’ don’t do that well. So my bro sent me to a clinic instead. The Dr told me…

“Its kinda like a cough viral that attacks your whole body. That’s why you felt aches at some parts of your body. The reason for being tired…perhaps you overdosed the cough syrup!!!”

Owh yeah, did I mentioned I drank the cough syrup straight from the bottle. The instruction says, “2 sudu teh”. LOL!!!

So I screwed up my 1st week. Fingers crossed, hopefully 2nd week will be better. Cheers!

Go Green!

Green is ENVY. Yeah... my cousin got an Alexander McQueen's shirt that I longed for my LIFE! But have you ever wonder what have you done to make the Earth greener? I get to know this term from the radio I overheard today - reducing your carbon footprints. It simply means to be more considerate about the environment in whatever ways possible to benefit the Earth.

Do take notice that major shopping centers like Carrefour and Giant will charge 20 cents for each biodegradable plastic bags used on every MONDAYS. So, why not grab your own 'green bag' when shopping or simply just refuse plastic bags when possible? But the sad thing is, a 'green bag' in Malaysia would simply costs up till RM4! Shouldn't it be given free?

I also started using Black Google (or Blackle) instead of Google. A simple 2-paged-search with Google is equivalent to emitting 14 grams of CO2, which is also equivalent to boiling up a jug of water! Just imagine how many jugs of water you boil per day? Hehe... Owh yeah, black backgrounds in blog-page also helps. So... good job JIM! I may be changing mine to black anytime soon.

So, I guess I did my part. Cheers!

Well… well… Hard to express my feelings right now. It’s a combination of sad, excited, butterflies in my stomach and a bee on my arse! LOL! What to expect on the upcoming and final semester?? Believe me, I have a list of 10 things I want to achieve by the end of the next semester. One at a time, the first being;

“I want my allies to understand what I (yes I mean ME, ALONE) had to go through to be recognized and now be doomed for my affiliation with others from others! Fingers-crossed!”

I just finished watching Gossip Girl’s 2nd season yesterday. Yeah yeah… I know, there must be heaps of peeps who finished watching it last century. Its just that I only watch series when I feel the least pressured, so what better way to watch than during the semester break. No assignments, projects, etc..

Did I mentioned that this picture has lots of significance in GG the 2nd season? Look closely. Well, Vanessa is out of the pic (uh..ugly!) and Jenny H. is just beside Dan H. as they r sis and bro. Then our S is well hugged by lonely boy D and the boy who ate a big piece of humble pie this season, Nate Archibald. Look closely at Nate's right hand on where it is placed?? Queen B's hand below S' butt. Haha... And Chuck B, I kinda loved him at the end of the season when he did all he could to make Queen B the Prom Queen. Arrgh...drama drama...

As I was approaching the last episode of the season, I was like WOW! All the drama, twists and turns, the love, the hatred, the parents, and most importantly THE FASSHION, J'ADORE!!! I once thought that no other series could replace Charmed, but Gossip Girl is just so darn fantastic man! Gosh! I can clearly tell that I loved the 2nd season better than the 1st. Now I just can’t wait for the next season to come again. Owh…please please come! My favorite cast? Hmm.... Chuck Bass' sister, Serena VDW. Lol!

Getting on the bus

The idea of rushing back home after the last exam paper was… Let’s just say I was not totally keen with that idea. I kinda lost my license and identity card during the transaction. The worst thing is, I only realized after 5 days! So??? Immediately, I made a police report. The next day, I took a bus to the Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara. My dad was busy with his shop and my brother was working late. So, I decide to get a bus ride from Summit Plaza with this Rapid Penang service. (I wonder why hey didn’t change to BM Rapid). I guess, the old Kelvin Yew have changed after that 15 minutes ride.

In the bus, I saw people from all walks of life. Old, young, poor, rich (I know because he has a laptop), clean and even dirty. Me? I was a ‘young prince who has to lay his arse on a bus once a while as his last option’. If one day (touch wood), should I have to become like that Indian Amah with only few ringgit in her purse, what can I do and what should I expect from life? It made me think for a minute or two. What about my friends? Will they avoid me? How true are true friends? Its just amazing what a 15 minutes drive can do to me.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am now in some money crisis and yes, it might just get worse by the end of this first half your consensus year 2009. So be it! I will change and everything from today onwards should be best – cost or better still, low – cost. No Versace and Armani. Its gonna be Golok and Petaling Street. No longer chicken chop and foie gras, just nasi goreng and karipap! Ok? Good boy…

A dear friend of mine since Kindergarten and still a great one till date. But, apparently this semester, he kena mangsa keadaan from us quite a number of times (in fact all the time). Well well...

And in the library, they have this small box located at each level for Lost and Found this semester. Since everyone is getting their things lost nowadays, why not include Azhar's???

Its muah being the eye candy and yes, AKU JIWA IRC... But as usual, when Azhar couldn't find his stuff, we told him that the Mak Cik Cleaner took his stuff. Haha...

Study week - The insights!

Hell yeah! Its study week y'll! Got my books, my pens and pencils, and my head set ready to study in the library from 9 am till 12am! Huhu... Almost there my final year final sem! Muah coming!!!!

But then of course, its not TOTALLY studying all time long. Hehe... Let's start with Azhar. When he left his carrel, we (or perhaps Guan ONLY), started 'decorating' his table. Nyeh nyeh nyeh... U just imagine urself la what's the expression on his face. Huhuhu...

And it was nice of Ikmal to sketch me. If only I'm that slim. Hehehe...

And Guan just seems to sleep most of the time this sem. Final sem kut...

But although he gave me a great headache the other day for my Oral Presentation, he is still the best lecturer ever found on earth! Ever!!

One word to sum my life today, HIAO! Woke up late this morning, thus missed Ah Beh’s talk at Pocket D2. Then headed to IRC with Guan around 9.30 am. At the back of my mind, I was consistently thinking of my Ipoh trip later. After a short nap, 4 of us headed to Jusco. Giordano was having this “Buy 1, Free1” sale. What else? Hentam lar… Inspired by Adam Lambert’s (American Idol) Black and White, I got myself two new tees. Hehe…

Oh ya, before entering UTP, we even stopped by the main gate to see a herd of Kerbaus crossing the road. What the heck, but it was FUN!

Menabrak Mobile The 2nd

It was 4.30 p.m. and I told Beh I'm getting off the IRC (library) and heading to the cafe to get my supposedly lunch (or drunch). After getting my motorcycle off the parking site, there was this UPM bus that was blocking my view. But since I was in the first gear, I was hesitate to stop. But I knew something could be wrong, SO WRONG!

A second or so later, I went BANGING on another motorcycle! KABOOM!!!!!

The other motorcyclist(Pak Guard I reckon) said, "Ya Allah...(Oh my God)!"

I smilled at him a lil bit, reverse my motorcycle, pushed in the 1st gear and CABUT!Lol....

I wonder whose fault was it? Me, the Pak Guard, or the BUS?? I'm ok, just some bruised hands. Drive safe fellas! =)

Delicious Delicacies for a Delicate Cost

Cheap, fast and enough to fill up an empty stomach. Try these followings:

1 – Tuna or Egg Mayo Sandwich

All you need are a can of tuna, tomatoes and some bread. For a change, try frying some eggs and mixed them well with mayo, with a dash of pepper and some butter. All under the costs of 2 bucks. It’s a quick yet filling lunch or even breakfast.

2- Onion Mayo Pasta Salad

Served chill, try mixing some mayo with boiled fettuccini, onions, carrots and some fried or baked garlic. A dash of pepper and salt or paprika will help as well. All under the costs of 3 bucks or so.

3 – Porridge

Cook some porridge and be creative with what to go along with it. Fried eggs with pepper and paprika, even fried prawns with mixed vege or even salted lettuce. Very oriental and good when you are sick.

4 – French toast

Beat an egg and mix in some sugar and milk. Dip slices of bread into this batter and fry them well. Oh…heaven! Good for breakfast, lunch, dinner and so on… Good when you realize that your bread is expiring soon. Haha..

5 – Fried Instant Noodles

Tired of friend rice, try frying instant noodles. The same way you fry rice, but just make good use of the flavorings provided along in the instant noodles packet. Make sure add in some mixed vege or fish cakes. Quick and still with an acceptable level of nutrition.

6 – Fried Cauliflower

Hey hey…This is very interesting. Cut some cauliflowers into small bit pieces. Then start to dip them into chili powders. Then deep fry it and of course it has to go with some steamed rice. Tastes like heaven man!! Simple le?

7 – Pizza

Get Pita bread (cheaper when the expiry date is in couple of days) and start layering some pasta sauce on it, then welcome all and everything that you like on your pizza. Simple uh? Sedap tau…

8 – Get more friends

Trick no 8, and MAY I STRESS, the most important one! When you have more friends of different culture, believe me, they are more than keen to feed you. I had a whole good introduction to Korean food once from my housemate in Adelaide, ranging from Korean sushi to cold noodles. And, ITS FREE!!!

Squash & The Hidden Agenda

It has been 3 years since I’ve first started to play squash. Only a few know why I started squash, but I had a hidden agenda behind it actually.

During Foundation 2nd sem, I had rashes all over my back. After consulting the Dr., he told me that those rashes are a sign that I might be diabetic. WOW!!! So much to take in at that time. But after my full body check-up, my sugar level was fine, normal to be precise. Then I thought that it might be a good idea to catch up with a sport and loose some weight (which I did eventually…a bit).

For the credit, Jim was nice enough to coach me along the way. Then I moved to playing with Guan up till now. Flashing back someone said, “Hey, we spend more time picking up the balls then hitting it, don’t we??” I mean even now, Guan and I also spend most of our time picking up balls rather than hitting on it but we still enjoy it. Don’t you Guan?? Lol…

The hidden agenda behind it is actually to mingle with people. I found it hard to even have a word with the Chinese community back then. Then I thought since they do play some sports, we can be friends from there on, or at least have something of similar topic to talk on.

3 years? Fuih…fast fast! Mak Teh and Pak Abbas, come to Sports Complex also la!

It was definitely hard for all of us. I was never good in saying goodbye, and I am not improving an inch since then. The last day of our intern at Guppy, we went to a Western Food Restaurant that we personally choose and our Head of Section, Mr. Rizal insisted to pay for. Uthes and I thought that since it is our day, let’s give them a memorable treat and a souvenir instead. And so we headed to a souvenir shop and carefully selected the items that we wanted to give our colleagues. Then I approached the cashier to pay…

Cashier#1: Tujuh belas ringgit lima puluh sen…

Me: Could you please put this separately for me?

Cashier #1: Lu mau letak ini asing-asing arrr?

Me: Yes, please.

Cashier#1: (In Mandarin) Wah, this fella really horrible la. Asking for separate plastic bags for all of these.

Cashier#2: (In Mandarin)Ya lo, but anyhow customer is always right ma hor???

Cashier#1: (In Mandarin)Sigh…ya lo….

After a while…

Cashier#1: Thank you (while handling me the stuff that I’ve purchased)

I hate urgent shipments! Urgent shipment simply means ‘super-kuli’ job. My supervisor directed me to arrange for an urgent shipment and the parts have to get out from our plant before noon. Therefore, I headed to the ‘Engineering Rack’. Name je glamour, but the condition…huh!! It was hot, dirty, dusty, rusty and whatever ty ty la… But when I was in the midst of segregating the shipment parts, aiseh man, my idol appear from nowhere le, right in front of my eyes!

When the Lord shuts the door, somehow he opens the window. Lol…

Uthes’ mum has a great heart for flowers, and according to Uthes even the bees fond to visit their house which is filled with artificial flowers! Well after a great treat his mum gave me for Deepavali, I couldn’t think more of a better way to thank her then getting her some FLOWERS.

Fresh flowers? She is not my girlfriend and plus, fresh flowers won’t last long. Next…
Artificial garland of flowers? Very cheap but mo sam yi ah (less sincere). Despair…

I thought plastic injection industry was a piece of cake. But let me tell you how serious this industry is after 4 months in this field. A plastic spoon as below will take roughly a week to complete! No kidding man!

In coming stock of raw material will require lead time of 2-3 days. Mould polish and refurbishment will take a day. Testing mould will take a day. Cycle time for this “minuscule” spoon is around a minute and so 5 days just finished like that. Production will run for 1 day or two to buffer for stock and then only you will have what all call it, a plastic spoon. Tough life uh?

Egg Tarts

Sunday for me is waking up at 12, and wonder around shopping malls for the rest of the day. But I wonder if I can make myself useful this week. I woke up at 12, and I was quite reluctant to wake up. When Mak Teh called around 1, want it or not, I had to wake up. After a quick lunch, I decided to bake some egg tarts. The very last time I bake some was when I was at Adelaide, Australia. The recipe, as simple as the basic stuff you can reach at home:

Pastry
150 g flour
120 butter
1 egg
A pinch of salt

Custard
3 eggs
60g sugar
Vanilla extract
250ml milk (Make sure not from China)

Mix them well, and bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. The end products…Kelvinicious

Curry Mee or Nasi Lemak? I wonder in front of the 888 Kopitiam. At times, its hard to even make a simple decision like what to have for lunch. Finally, I chose to have nasi lemak, although all of my friends fancy the famous BM Curry Mee. But why did I chose to do that? Any good reasons? Why must good things come to an end? Why NOT? I was back to UTP to meet up with some friends last week, and the most important agenda is to celebrate the senior’s graduation. I berhimpit at Guan’s and poor him had to sleep at the floor for 2 nites just to let me sleep on his bed. Nyeh nyeh nyeh… Thanks Guan!

I had a chance to meet up with a few more friends as well, Kareen, Marlene and Melvin. So we chat and gossip, loaf and ate at Mamak. And thanks Melvin, for that "thing" you gave me…. (LOL!) Nasib baik muat!

My lip keeps on chanting those words as I walked in to my office this morning. It wasn’t easy, and I was not in the mood to work today. And thus many asked, “Why Kelvin? You seemed to be out of the line today…” I answered, “No la… Having flu and sore throat la…”

But then, the sad feelings and miserable emotions keep on haunting me the whole day through. Every little thing seems to be so wrong and f*^@ up! Sigh… Sigh… Sigh…

I thought of buying a LV suitcase for my intern, at least I have a proper bag for such prestigious profession – ENGINEER. But I thank God I didn’t! My job ain’t that glamorous after all.

I thought there will be a professional internal meeting, BUT there was a departmental meeting conducted in Bahasa Melayu daily.
I thought there will be frequent meetings with customers, BUT the only time I went to meet customers, I got screwed from them!
I thought its gonna be 16 degrees Celsius in my office, I don’t even have my own table!
I thought there will be sexy ladies wondering in heals, merely Indonesian operators who are half way to dawn appeared before me!

Sigh… Oh and before I forget one last thing. 4 lettered words are of frequent usage at my company too!

NO! I’ve just been ditabrak mobile aka met with an accident; and that’s why its been a while since I last penned down my last post. How am I? Terrible of course! I had my toe nail being pluck off its ‘socket’ and a few burn marks on my legs thanks to the exhaust pipe and few deep bruises all along my left and right legs. Sigh…

But after a 5 days break, I was back to work (my company’s colleague kinda misses me :-)) and just to know that I was not fit to walk for I’ve caused my toe continue to bleed and bleed and bleed…

Despite all those, at least I managed to terrify a few friends and they came swarming to my house, thinking I was partially dead. WHY? Caused I actually hit a 4-wheel-drive with my Honda Wave Motorcycle with a speed of 60 km/hr. LOL… Long live KELVIN! I’m still alive and like what Uthes said, my lazer-ness is still as sharp as always. Signing off, cheers

I had a whole complete one day lecture from Mak Teh yesterday. You wouldn’t want to be a student when Mak Teh starts the lecture. Usually I would take her advice as just jokes (ignorant me). But yesterday was a total different story. It kinda made me realize, am I asking too much out from friendship lately? Should I step back, relax and just let this “ship” cruise along its journey itself? Should I give up now?

Its gonna be study week soon and this is my worst study week ever without my friends around at the IRC. Guan! Dinesh! Charlz! Come back la!!!

First up, I am extremely sorry for not updating my blog lately. I was dead busy with all my projects and assignments and mind you that I am still so busy now. Just wanna take a break and chill and its time for updates. What have I been up to? Hmmm…..

It has been my wildest dreams since joining EDX as a committee member to someday showcase my project in that prestigious event. More than that, we even won a few awards yesterday. Thank God for that opportunity! At least all the long hard work was paid off finally. Miss Illani, when wanna belanja makan? Huhuhu… As me being me on that day, cam-whoring is a MUST!

We created a fully automatic cage for cats called SMART CAGE. Our theme color was Black and Pink (so PCD-ish). The cage is able to dispose the pet's litter, feed them consistently and the cage is designed to be detachable and hence becoming a portable cage. We had lots of fun and we won a gold medal for the project besides the Best Poster Award.

This is definitely my best Friday ever since coming back to UTP. Besides thanking God it was finally Friday, I woke up pretty late to just skip my tutorials – one cancelled and one just don’t know whether its gonna be held or not. Then I went for my 10am’s lecture. When the clock strikes 12, I rushed out of pocket D and contacted Audrey. I really wanna get out of UTP that very moment, and I did get out in fact! Audrey called me for a lunch at IPOH. Lunch in Ipoh (me questioning myself)? Then Audrey said, ”Indian food!”. Hell yeah, count me in!!!!!

And so we had a joy ride to Ipoh and had a “3-kali-tambah-nasi” Indian cuisine, which only cost me about RM5. Dirt cheap isn’t it? We gossiped like always all the way from Ipoh back to UTP with our almost-to-explode tummies. Nyeh nyeh nyeh…. Oh my, that was a good one! Thanks Audrey!

It was time for Euphonious 2008. Despite some idiots putting up some banners anti-Euphonious and flyers, guess what? Euphonious was, is and will always be a success! Monday: Sep Pro 2 Test 1. Screwed up 1 question worth 10 marks! WTF???

Tuesday: PSLP Test 1 & 2. Dunno how to solve Test 2’s question. 14 marks GONE!!!! Came back to room just to realize that I locked myself outside. Beh, Chia Ming, Kenneth and I tried to break into my room from 10pm to 12am. (Thank you guys!!) One thing good is that at least I know my room is secured, very secured indded. And, I broke Jim’s hammer while trying to break into my room. Sigh…
Wednesday: Slept in a talk just to know that we had to do a summary of that talk at the end of the adjunct lecture! Sigh…

Thursday: Realized yesterday that there is a quiz tonight. The chapter included was last touched by me before mid-sem.

Tua lang in Hokkien means Mature Adults. But this trip to Tanjung Tualang with Roy, Charles, Audrey and Piggy was indeed a wonderful and fun one. Well, what can I say? Audrey and Roy obviously enjoyed it (kuang kuang kuang). Same goes to Charlz and Piggy (kuang kuang kuang). Then me? Tumpang gembira aje la aku... Hehehe... Now seriously, lately, I find it hard to get up in the morning. In class, my mind is like sailing on a cruise along the Caribbean. While waiting for class at Pocket D3 today, I even slept for 30 minutes or so in the waiting room while waiting for my lecture the next session.

I use Wu Chun as a medium to talk to and even dream of him sometimes. I watch many drama series and movies lately as well, although knowing that I have lots to do behind me. I am not doing that well in quizzes and tests. I lack focus in my projects. I dapau everyday to my room and eat in front of my laptop. My squash racket is still sleeping soundly in my cabinet.

I haven’t sharp my 2B pencil which broke last Tuesday. I haven’t wash my clothes. I found that cleaning the room alone is a bit tedious. I feel like I should call Keith cut my hair the other day, for now its freaking long and unorganized. I felt like no one is listening to me lately.

I found out that Gardenia buns are 10 cents more expensive now. I want to accept my intern offer in BM. I want to watch Selina and Lee Hong’s mv on that Hokkien song. I planned to go Euphonious alone this time. I miss Guan and pity him has to work till 11.30 pm today. I hate myself for not waking up early on Sundays and log on to meebo.

I wish someone would put their feet in my shoes, although it might be too big for them. Its 1.30 am and I am still wondering should I play Nicole’s Baby Love or Rihanna’s Umbrella. I kinda fell in love with Britney lately and I love her In The Zone album’s I Got That Boom! Boom!

I was back at BM last weekend (but now at UTP already). It was also about time for me to get a haircut and hair treatment. And so I went again to this Loreal Paris Salon. That was only the 2nd time of me using their services there. The fella’s name who usually attend to me is Keith (I guess not his real name, tokok-tambah nia one). Lol… This thing takes like roughly about an hour or so. So, we began to chat.

Keith: R u still studying or working?
Kelvin: Studying, @ Ipoh.
Keith: Owh, i c. How old are you then?
Kelvin: 20 (in denial that I am supposed to be 21!)
Keith: Oiks, then we are of same age la? I am 20 also.
Kelvin: Har????
Kelvin (inner monologue): Damn, he is 20 and he is already working and earning money ady weh! I am still struggling to solve differential equations in Reaction Engineering. Sigh….

After washing my hair…
Keith: How you want your hair this time?
Kelvin: Actually ar, I think today I will do the hair treatment enough ady la. Next few weeks only I come for hair cut la (still cannot believe that he is younger than me).
Keith: Owh, ok la. Come and see me again la next time ya.
Kelvin: Ah…. Ok ok..

He is younger than me, and he is already working? My God! I felt like a bit paiseh to use his service also. Maybe next time should ask Max to do my hair instead of Keith. Hahaha… But kan, Keith really made my hair look like Wu Chun le. Damn yau yeng and something I never thought my hair could do. The trick according to Keith is, use clay wax (not normal wax) and hair spray. But too bad, both also I don’t have. Kuang kuang kuang…. Cheers!

Owh boy! I’ve been daydreaming and night dreaming all week long.

As usual, as Dr. Azmi opens his mouth and gave us his broken-English-2-hours-lecture at Pocket D3, apa lagi? LOL! He was explaining something about plume and puff dispersion, something to do with toxic dispersion methods in air. He gave an example of Ammonia leakage dispersed in air by the plume method and that we should evacuate the plant immediately. Not only that, the first person who scented the leakage should also tell others to run. I was dreaming if let’s say, someone in front of Jim farted (plume dispersion), Jim will straightaway walked out of the class and before leaving he will say, “Please la Mr. *, do it somewhere else la! People, let’s evacuate!!!!” I was laughing to myself till I caught the lecturer’s attention. He asked me, “Yes you! Why is you laughing?” Oopss….

Night dream
Owh, this is once in a lifetime opportunity. I dreamt of my idol Wu Chun. He was ready to go to the gym, but he saw me alone at the corner (like always). Then he approached me and asked me, “Ah Boy, wanna go squash?” Then I told him, “I will say Ok if you say OK.” Then I wanted to get up (and woke up) to take my squash racket. Just to know that it was 8.45a.m. and just missed my 8.00a.m. class! Damn…

If only dreams do come true.

Behind The Truth

I mean, let’s be honest for this once....

Dinesh and Azhar had a long …………long fight since Foundation Semester 2, all of it in the name of… diarrhea. It was rather serious at first, but as years went by, it became more like a joke. Well, we talk about it and we laughed about it. Its no more serious actually. So finally yesterday, they tied up two ends and put all their pasts bygones.

I remembered the times we had when we were in Foundation, so naïve, so young and yet so free to choose our friends (although some choose to not acknowledge me as they thought I was Malay or Siam Thailand). The feeling of going out and knowing people and not having bad impressions on anyone, it was so relax and laid back actually. But over these years, things got really bad. I lost a few of friends along the way and thinking of it, its kinda stupid actually! Why it should be the way it was? Do you think that the way Dinesh and Azhar ended up is a good ending after all? I mean, now that they are friends back, but they might not even have the chance to meet each other back again (or for a long period of time la). But for them, it was a day to celebrate Friendship once again. Be good, cheers!

We came such a long way. 3 years passes by, and now that I realize, we have to bid goodbye. 3 of my best friends are going to Australia soon, and I will be left alone here. Now my kaki gossip also berkurangan ady. Sigh… Although at times we fought and quarrel, but that all makes our friendship even more special and realistic. Now that I am going to miss them, hopefully somehow they could still remember my name in years to come. I quickly know that he would click with me. Same size, similar attitude, same religion (half-half la) and same determination to study and get 4 flat. I mean, I just knew at that moment during MAS that he would be an important ally of mine at here. We went beyond that, we became best friends since then. For all these years, susah senang we went through together. I seriously told him that I do not know how to stay in this environment without him now. Yes I am sad, but I am also happy that he got this offer as he DESERVES it! Dinesh, be good!

Ee Von
My goodness! The first week she came with her burnet hair and I thought that she was a senior who failed a few subjects and taking back with us. Hahaha… We lasted not talking to each other until 1st year 2nd semester. She is someone to talk with when you are down. No doubt, she is also one of my best friend for we’d shared lots of tears and happiness together. Miss Nga, take care!

Kiang Fei
Fei Fei ar… I used to mistaken recognize him as Guan when we were in foundation. I didn’t dare to talk to him at that time as well cause my Mandarin is not that power like now ma. We share some common things like we are Jay’s fans, we don’t play DOTA and we are so darn cute and young looking! Hahaha… Fei Fei, don’t let anyone call you using that name EXCEPT me oo!

I accompanied Mak Teh and Pak Abbas to KL last Friday and just arrived back at UTP. To be honest, thank God I joined them along or else I’ll be rotting in UTP. We stayed at Guan’s, Wangsa Maju aka Kawasan Setinggan Pelarian Ke Kuala Lumpur. Nyeh nyeh nyeh…
Mak Teh and Pak Abbas were actually on their own mission to meet this fella…

Jay Chou. I have to admit he is good in whatever he does – singing, composing songs, acting as well as being a director. I guess Wu Chun has a pretty long way to go. Wu Chun, GAMATEH!
We met up with Charlz and when he is aroud, I tend to be more of… MYSELF! Huhuhu…

It was just the very next morning when I obtained my second sign for this semester – the enlightment. Hmm… these signs are coming to me quite fast this semester uh? I wonder why…

To fall the fall.

Yesterday was indeed a wonderful day (almost). I started my day with a breakfast session at USM. I’ve longed to go there since coming back to UTP. Then, I proceed to tutorials, lectures and that was it. It started raining at 7 p.m. but I insisted of going to the IRC to study for my quiz today. And so I did by walking there, not by motorcycle. On the way back from IRC, I have to pass through V3 where this long cement blocks pathway is located. For split seconds, it reminds me of Victoria Secret’s runway. I imagined Karolina Kurkova in front of me and Giesele Bunchen approaching me from my back. Nyeh nyeh nyeh… I walk on the runway and like I OWNED IT! At the end of the runway, I managed to even strike a few poses. (Thank God no one around! =O)

Then came the pathway down to V4, it was whether to take the stairs or the almost-bare hill down. Wanted to reach my room quickly, I took the hill way down. 1 step, 2 steps and off I got a free ride DOWN! I landed on my butt (and it still aches till now), with my jeans, shirt and bag filled with mud! (Thank God again no one was around =O) I quickly got up and went straight back to my room, praying in my heart that no one saw me! As I reached back to my room, then I remembered. “Ei, to fall the fall… YAY!!!!!!” I’ve got the sign for this semester! Good luck everyone!

The first 5 days of CNY 2008

A celebration filled with tradition and folklore practice no where to be seen anymore nowadays (or maybe so little that it would easily extinct soon) I rushed back to BM last Tuesday after my lab session for I did not want to miss out this year’s Chinese New Year preparation.

First up, new year’s clothes:: Wardrobe prepared filled with brands like Essential Man, FILA, Giordano and also Old Navy. All checked and checked twice so that it would fit me exactly the way I wanted. Huhu…

Second, midnight prayers preparation:: Checked as well so that my Mum did not forget any fruits or biscuits or flowers or etc etc etc. Everything wrapped in red for a prosperous and wealthier year, even my dad, my mum, bro and sis in law. Ang ang lo…. But me, stylo-mylo in white and gold. Hahaha…

Third, Penang’s visit:: This year’s selection of venue for celebration is totally not my cup of tea. I was not at BM, but Penang on the first and third day of CNY. Squeezy-squashy traffic jams and terrible weather, uh… I almost fainted! But the main idea is just to collect Ang Pau, so I just tahan la.

Then now, on the way back to UTP where I need to pass up my assignments, getting ready for a pop-quiz and preparing for a lab session tomorrow. So, I am taking this chance to wish everyone, GONG XI FA CHAI. Let’s just wish for a better and peaceful year all round. Cheers fellas!

I came a long long way...

I was the one who always has no patience at ALL! If someone triggers me, I will either keep my mouth shut or I will speak straightaway what I feel and what should be done immediately. Some say I am loud and for that they hate me. Some say I am just being stupid and hilarious, for that I was loved. But throughout these 6 months, I’ve changed – a lot! Throughout the process of getting here at Australia, I’ve faced lots of trouble, discrimination and the ultimate test of patience. Let’s start with troubles.

Life without trouble is just useless. Once I thought that I was the person who solves conflicts and troubles in the best way ever. I am always content with my decision and no one can stop me. But it was just too soon when I realized that I will not be always right – luckily not too late. Well, I learn from my mistakes and I continued my journey of life. Friends are a trouble at times but when you start missing them, they are not that bad after all. Different people from all walks of life will definitely possess different attitude and POV. To be a ‘normal’ person, we just need to conform with all of them the best way we could. I tried and I tried, but sometimes it comes to no avail. However at times, you just meet with someone who you can proudly call them as ‘best friends’ simply because they understand you best! Since coming here to Adelaide, I was just counting days to meet with my friends and family back home. Next Thursday, I will finally.

Discriminations. Fat or thin? Rich or poor? Dark or fair? Handsome or ugly? Stupid or clever? Who can really tell actually if you are either fat or thin? rich or poor? dark or fair? handsome or ugly? stupid or brilliant? But the fact is, it always happens. People do discriminate people and the cycle goes on and on. Although sometimes, stupidly enough, I strive to be all the positive side of the cycle, but I fail tremendously. So today, I am proud to say that I am fat, poor, dark, ugly but the most important of all I am someone with brains just enough for me to go through this life!

Patience? My patience with spirit-destructive-brainless human has finally came to an end. To celebrate that, I met up with my friends at Melbourne and we had a FANTSTIC time there. This is the first time ever in 6 months time I’ve laughed so much like a drunken guy on the street. Yeah. I was at a Japanese Park yesterday – Himeji Park. We did also witnessed a couple getting married in that park. The park was breath-taking but seriously, it was not quite a right time. It was hot and sweaty and filled of flies! Eiu…

1st December, the day when the Lord Mayor of the city of Adelaide will light up the huge Christmas Tree at Victoria Square.

So after the park, we went to Victoria Square and had a nice time there. It was filled with people and kids especially who wanna meet Father Christmas! Santa Claus is coming to town (and the kids believed it!) Hahaha…. Guess who were Santa’s reindeers? Rudolf was on a medical leave yesterday, so Lee Hee and I jadi bidan terjun!

Today was a day at Carrick Hill with my mum’s schoolmate. We took a bus there instead of car as it is way more convenient to do that on a Sunday. The hill was not that hilly as I was expecting. There was an old English house on top of it (which I believe is haunted!) and lovely gardens filled with roses. Arrghh… I loved it!

I have 19 more days in Adelaide and I will make full use of it to discover this land before I go back to where I belong, Tronoh! Sigh… My fellow friends who are gonna start working tomorrow, GUD LUCK and don’t you worry, I will hunt you down at your work place! LOL!

Midnight Prayers...Finally Answered

No no no… Its not my next album! I’ve been busy like a busy bee lately. My mum came over to Adelaide last week and we had fun touring around the whole city and suburbs area. She also managed to meet her old schoolmate who married with an ang mo. This is their first meeting after over 20 years!

However during her stay at Adelaide, I was actually anticipating my exam results which will be out on her last day here. And now that the results are out, I am glad that I’ve passed and the most important thing is, I’M GOING HOME!

All the souvenirs that I’ve bought during my stay here were all brought back by my mum to Malaysia already. So… whoever yang tak tahan nak dapat souvenir, go ask from my mum! Hehehe…. But, one cheeky friend of mine actually asked me to get him something rather peculiar. Hey you (if you are reading this), I finally found my guts and walked into the shop and bought you the thing you wanted so much! LOL!!! M-sized correct?

Since I am so super duper free now, I’ve been hunting each and every shopping mall. Fortunately (or rather unfortunately), I found for myself some clothes and lots and lots of chocolates!

I will be heading to Melbourne next week where I’ll be meeting up with Jim, Uthes, Aishah, Dahlila, Gaafar and nevertheless, Chia Pei (and also Aaron). Its about time to celebrate Christmas. So fellas, let’s joy to the world with a brand new year! Cheerios!

The Promise

I am proud to announce that my first debut album will be out in stalls on 20th December entitled 'The Promise'. I am very lucky this time as I had the chance to collaborate with many talented yet skillful composers and lyrists. This album means a lot to me as it represents a complete story of my life thus far. Here are the listing of the tracks and the details.

Track No. 1 - Wish
I personally composed this song to express my wish to be with my loved ones. A slow ballad accompanied by a classical guitar, I dearly hope that I sent my message across.

Track No. 2 – Zapin Mak Teh Balik Kampung
A fusion Malaysian ethnic based rhythm and complemented with some hilarious ‘pantun’. Composed by Pak Agooz and lyrics written by Pak Hassan, this song is specially dedicated to my friend whom I affectionately call Mak Teh.

Track No. 3 – That Thing You Do feat. Charlz
This song was originally sung by the Wonders back in 1964. This version of That Thing You Do is redefined and refurbished with a duet style; enhanced with the powerful vocals impact from Charlz (Winner of Star Search Village 4 UTP).

Track No. 4 – Midnight Prayers
Another soulful song written by the world renowned composer Camelia Augustine. This song is a la gospel packed with an expressive lyrics written by Bart.

Track No. 5 – Menghitung …Hari
This song is a parody to Kris Dayanti’s ‘Menghitung Hari’. The only difference of this track to Kris’ is the note for ‘hari’ is tuned down four keys. The change of this part was inspired by my fellow friend, Dinesh, after watching a cabaret songstress singing it that way.

Track No. 6 – Drama feat. Charlz
My personal favorite song in this entire album. Firstly recorded by Ning Baizura, Nikki and Yani, we re-recorded this song with the original key of this song. Although Charlz and I struggled with coping up with the E-minor key (which is more suitable for female vocalists), we manage to pull through this piece. Superb one!

Track No. 7 – Rosebell Rasbra (Theme for Victoria’s Secret 2007)
I was approached by Pak Abbas, who is a creative designer for Victoria’s Secret to record this song for his upcoming Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2007 on 4th December. It’s a fast-beat tempo song, suitable for runway.

Track No. 8 – The Promise & Track No. 9 - Akhirnya
This is another song written by myself to express my excitement and happiness to meet all the people I love soon. Akhirnya is the Malay version of The Promise. Both of these songs are produced by world’s best music producer, Azhar Abu Mamak.

Remember to get this album on stalls. Only original ya!

Ola people! Yeah I know its been a while isn’t it since I have post a decent post? I was quite busy with my stuff and now, I am almost there finally. Today is the last day of classes, and now that I realized that time flies. I submitted my group report today and its 139 pages long. This is the first time ever I have done such a long report. It cost me $15 to print my report and it took me so many sleepless nights to complete and compile it. However, I am indeed lucky and happy to have such enthusiastic members with me.

Next week is study week (its called SWOT week here) and I know its gonna be hard studying without my dearest friends around me. A few days ago I confessed to Mak Teh. I sincerely told her, “I love my friends and they are important to me!” Study week has always be a day to day gossip instead of intense studying. There are a few tiny rituals that I should usually oblige during the study week in order for everyone to excel in their finals.

No. 1: Fall the fall. Regardless of height and location, I need to slip down anywhere in front of a crowd. The uglier I fall, the better the result is.
No. 2: The natural enlightment. Somehow and strange enough, every study week in the library of UTP, the electricity supply will go off for a while. Strangely, under the closed carrel I used to sit, there will be light on top of it. It’s a sign from above that its gonna be a great semester ending!
No. 3: Purge the unnecessary out. Its pretty much self-explanatory. Eiu… disgusting!

I’m gonna work extra hard this time as I have no one by my side this time to fall on. Pray with me to go on this journey smoothly.

P/s: By the way, I still haven’t done any of the weird rituals yet! =)

Since UTPians are in the midst of enjoying their mid semester break cum Hari Raya celebration, my Gtalk’s list at times only have 1 person online, Melvin. That’s all! My kepo gang members are all in dead silence. Sigh... boring! Some of my Muslim friends back there actually replied my Hari Raya wishes sms and they asked me “Apa khabar?”

Me? Let me see…
2 more weeks of studies.
2 more weeks to finals.
2 more days to project presentation.
2 more months before I could land back on the land I belong.
So that makes me very….

erm... extremely....

I have been trying to ask around on how to download those video clips from Youtube lately. I just can’t be spending my entire Internet quota for streaming purposes just to watch my favorite video clips daily! I gave up last two weeks. I stop watching Youtube and, as music runs through my veins, just imagine what was the impact to me? I almost went crazy living a day without watching Jac’s performance at IKON Asean with that fantastic arrangement of Gemilang by Ramli M.S and America’s Next Top Model Season 9. (Oh ya, I lurve Heather!)

But in the midst of my silence and sadness, I saw enlightenment from far. Too far to be near, and yet so near to be close. My savior, MAK TEH aka The Goddess of Downloading! This brilliant girl thought me how to download from Youtube and since yesterday nite, I have been downloading like MAD! All the greatest credits go to this girl who I once call Mak Teh. Now must change her name to The Goddess of Downloading! Kam siah a lot! You just saved a lonely soul through a deserted island where they throw all those nasty villains!

Souvenir Hunt

Yesterday was a fine day, windy and shady. So, we decided to go for a Souvenir Hunting session at Tea Tree Plaza. Its located at the suburb area and it takes roughly about 20 minutes to get there through the O-Bahn (pronounced as “uban”) Highway. The O-Bahn Highway is told to be the fastest highway at Adelaide and yes it was quite speedy. Two main questions were constantly hitting my mind. What should I get for HER and what should I get for HIM? Arrrghhhh… its so hard to find something that will suite everyone.

From my hunt, I found a few ‘suitable’ stuff as souvenirs. Here, have a look:

From top left: Tamagochi (the last time I saw this thing was when I was in Std 5), ash-keeper wood (I ain’t know what is that, but it was pretty!), a cap (nice one!), nail polish (err… I even tried on my pinky), fake pearls (no comments), handbags (dah melampau dah nie!) and even a PINK bag (ahem ahem…)

After 3 hours of hunting for souvenirs, I finally found something that everyone will like. And the great news is that everyone will get one cause I bought lots and lots of them:
